Promenade Cafe is located in Gyeonggi-do, 43 Haengjusanseong-ro 120beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, right next to Haengju Fortress. Driving is far easier than public transit, and thankfully Spacious parkingis provided, so you can park relatively easily even on weekends. Above the parking spaces, tree shadecovers the lot, so even in midsummer your car doesn't heat up too much — a small but big plus.

That said, the road up to the cafe is quite a steep slope. New drivers or small (non-SUV) cars should crawl up in 1st or 2nd gear. The surface can get slick in the rain, so be extra careful.

First Impression — Red Brick and Plants, Modern but Cozy

Coming up the stairs from the parking lot, the first thing you see is the red-brick facade. Not a flashy or sparkling cafe, but natural-feeling comfortin a modern design. The green wall and 'promenade' neon sign at the entrance soften the first impression beautifully.

Floor Guide — Floor 1 Outdoor, Floor 2 Han River View, Floor 3 Rooftop

Promenade Cafe is a three-floor layoutand each floor's vibe is genuinely different. Decide ahead which floor fits your plan and your group, and you'll use your time much better.

🐶 Floor 1 — Outdoor Focus, Open Dog Area

Mostly outdoor tables and grass space — a great spot for dogs to run around, but directly connected to the parking lot, so owners need to watch their dogs to keep them inside the fence. On hot days, grabbing a shaded seat early is the key.

☕ Floor 2 — Main Counter + Han River-View Window Seats

Where orders happen — the main space. Half indoor / half terrace, so airflow is good. The view from the window seats — city + Han River view— is stunning. On one side, a pet photo zoneand a pet-supply corner sit together — with a dog along, this becomes your base camp.

🌅 Floor 3 — Rooftop, Daytime Sun + Evening Sunset

By day, an open space full of sunshine; by evening, the sun setting across the Han River — sunset sceneryis the main draw. However, Floor 3 does not allow pets. When visiting with a dog, plan to take turns going up to the rooftop.

For drinks, we went with the Americano / cold brew / grapefruit · green-grape adeare the popular drinks. As a side, chocolate macadamia cookieor cream dessertis also recommended. Even with just dessert, an hour passes easily at a Han River-view seat.

Visit Notes — Laptop, Sunset, and Time Flies at the Han River View Seat

We visited just after lunch, so we saved the mains for next time and iced americano + dessertkept it light. We took a window seat on Floor 2 to do some laptop work — and as the sun started to tilt, the sunset falling beyond the Han Riverspread across the screen. At that moment, work was completely out — we closed the laptop and just watched the sunset for an hour.

The vibe is great and seats are well-spaced, so solo workworks well, family · couple outingsas well, and a dog walk all fit equally. It's also a natural stop after a Haengju Fortress visit.

What Could Be Better — Steep Driveway, Sunset-Hour Seat Competition

  • Steep uphill driveway — stressful if you're not a confident driver
  • Weekend sunset hours (5–7 PM) rooftop seatsfill up fast. For sunset, arriving 1–2 hours early is recommended
  • Floor 3 pets not allowed — a little disappointing if you wanted to explore every floor with your dog
  • Parking also fills quickly at peak times, so 11 AMor late afternoonare the calmer windows
