목차
On Children's Day, we drove around Paldang and looked for a spot with a Han River view to rest, and ended up at Paldang Log. Among Paldang cafes, it's a large cafe using an entire 4-story building divided into rooftop, indoor, and terrace zones, making it fun to choose a seat.
There are two main appeals. Open until 5 AM late at night, making it great for late-night dates near Seoul, plus each floor has a different atmosphere offering various ways to enjoy the Han River view. We tried two Americanos, a chocolate mocha bun, and explored the signature strawberry cake too.

What kind of cafe is Paldang Log?
Located at Paldang-ro 81beon-gil, Wabu-eup, Namyangju, Gyeonggi, large bakery cafe with Han River view. The entire 4-floor building is used as a cafe — 1F is parking and smoking area, 2F is ordering and self bar, 3F is the comfort zone, and 4F is the terrace zone, with each floor having a clearly defined role.
The biggest differentiator is late-night operation. Open from noon to 5 AM, it's a great spot near Seoul when you're looking for a late-night place. Cafes where you can leisurely stay late while enjoying the Han River night view aren't common.

Menu and Price Range
It's mainly coffee and bakery. The signature is strawberry cake, with one plate per person — pick what you want on a tray and pay at the counter. Same goes for bread.
| Category | Menu | Features |
|---|---|---|
| Coffee | Americano | Clean taste without acidity |
| Bakery | Chocolate Mocha Bun | Paldang Log's recommended bakery |
| Signature | strawberry cake | Limit 1 plate per person, take it on a tray to pay |
| Desserts | Tiramisu, Madeleine, Chocolate Cake | Various cakes in the display case |
| Takeout | Pack remaining drinks | +1,000 KRW extra |

Signature Strawberry Cake Review
One-line review — Coffee is clean without acidity, the mocha bun has impressive rich chocolate flavor, and the signature strawberry cake has such strong visuals that the display case itself becomes a photo zone. With the one-plate-per-person limit, two people can pick two kinds and share for fun.
I ordered two iced Americanos and a chocolate mocha bun this day. I saved the cake for next time since I was about to diet, but the visual of the strawberry cake in the display case is worth trying at least once. The mocha bun is great warmed up — there's an oven in the self bar, so I recommend warming up your bread.

Floor-by-Floor Spaces — How 2F, 3F, and 4F Differ
The charm of Paldang Log is the totally different atmosphere on each floor. On your first visit, it's good to look around all floors before choosing a seat. There's an elevator, so it's easy to move with elderly or strollers.
2F — Ordering, Self Bar, Indoor Seating
The cafe entrance and ordering area. You take a tray of cake and bread to the counter and order drinks together. Mood lamps and flowers are displayed and sold separately by the entrance. Receipt review event— they give you flowers when you participate.
The self bar has water dispenser, forks/knives, and tissues, plus an oven to warm bread. Bread like mocha bun or madeleine tastes best warm, so I recommend warming them up.

3F — Comfort Zone (Most Popular Space)
Date recommendation — The comfort zone has soft sofa seating and Han River view picture windows, with the quietest and best atmosphere. Next time I'll open-run and aim for the comfort zone first.
3F also has outdoor terrace seating, but it gets quite hot when sun comes in sideways, so I recommend after sunset rather than midday. There's also seating on the stairs going up to 3F, so it doesn't feel crowded even when busy.
4F — Terrace Zone (BBQ-Style Rooftop)
4F is mainly outdoor terrace space with BBQ-style rooftop vibe. Han River is visible far away, so 4F has the most expansive view. However, on summer midday you'll get full sunlight so it can be hard to sit. Highly recommended for cool spring/fall evenings or nighttime.

Time Limit and Cafe Rules
As a large cafe, there are time limits by time slot. After 1 AM there's no limit, so visiting late for a date lets you stay without time pressure.
| Time of day | Time Limit |
|---|---|
| 12:00 ~ 17:00 | 3 hours available |
| 17:00 ~ 01:00 | 2 hours available |
| 01:00 ~ 05:00 (Late night) | No limit |
Notes — Pets not allowed. Takeout of remaining drinks is available for an additional 1,000 KRW. On weekends or nice weather, it can be crowded so arriving with extra time is recommended.

Paldang Log — Honest Summary
Paldang Log is a large cafe great for leisurely resting while enjoying the Han River view. With spaces divided by floor, you can choose indoor seating for quiet time or the rooftop terrace on nice weather days. I've been to many cafes around Paldang, but it's rare to find one satisfying in dessert, coffee, and atmosphere all at once.
The Paldang drive course, perfect for stopping by for a short break. However, weekends and good-weather days are crowded so I recommend leaving with extra time. Next time I plan to aim for outdoor seats on cool days and the comfort zone for night dates.
