Obok Sushi O2 Tower Yeouido — Honest Review of Yeouido Japanese Kaisendon + Mixed Sashimi (Menu, Price, Parking, Wine Pairing)

By Seoul Note

After a long time, we had a family gathering with my cousins at Obok Sushi O2 Tower Yeouido. From Yeouido Station Exit 3, it is only a 1-minute walk — O2 Tower 2F, 83 Uisadang-daero— a Japanese kaisendon & high-end sashimi house. We enjoyed Mixed Sashimi and Signature Kaisendon as mains with a white wine pairing — here is the honest review covering menu, price, parking, vibe and signature dishes.

Atmosphere — Yeouido Window View + 4-Person Private Room

We had reserved in advance, so we were seated by the window. The full-length windows frame the Yeouido streetscape, making lunch and dinner equally atmospheric. Weekend lunch was quiet, but weekday lunch must fill up fast with office crowds. The interior is unified in a modern, tidy tone — easy to book for family gatherings or business dining.

Inside, there is a separate 4-person private room, which works for business meetings, family meals and anniversary dinners alike — a strong recommendation for Yeouido-area hosting.

Menu + Price — Full Lineup of Uni · Sashimi · Kaisendon

You can preview the menu on a digital display at the entrance, and once seated you get both a tablet menu and a paper menu. The leather-bound paper menu feels weighty. Uni, rice, special soy sauce and seafood are all sourced directly from fresh-ingredient suppliers— this is explained on the very first page.

What We Ordered — Mixed Sashimi (M) + Signature Kaisendon

🔥 Our Order: Mixed Sashimi (M) KRW 79K · Signature Kaisendon KRW 39K × 4 · Ankimo & Konowata Sashimi (special). We paired it with white wine. For 4 diners, it makes a full course of a la carte + sashimi + rice bowl + special — a really satisfying lineup.

Before the mains arrive, the basic setupis laid out cleanly. Fresh vegetables + nori + pickled rakkyo + special ssamjang + roe / uni / okra come together as side dishes — even the basic banchan quality shows how much care the restaurant puts in. The vegetables sit in chilled water to stay crisp, and the special ssamjang has a deep flavor that pairs well with sashimi and a la carte alike.

Signature ① Mixed Sashimi (M) — Flounder, Sea Bream & Tuna on One Plate

Obok Sushi mixed sashimi flounder sea bream tuna fresh fish one plate

The first main was the Mixed Sashimi (M) — KRW 79K. The freshness was obvious at first glance. Flounder · sea bream · tuna sashimicome together on one plate. The flounder bites with a savory and cleanflavor — well-aged, with deep umami. What looked like tuna belly had beautiful marbling, melting softly the moment it hit the tongue.

🍷 Wine Pairing Tip: The wine we paired was Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc by the glass (KRW 9K). Flounder bite → sip of wine — the pairing is spot-on. The crisp acidity of the white wine cleans up any fishy edge, while the soft texture meets the marbling of the tuna belly beautifully. ‘Great Places! Great Time!’ itself.

Signature ② Signature Kaisendon — Salmon Roe, Sea Urchin & Crab Combo

Obok Sushi Signature Kaisendon salmon roe sea urchin crab assorted sashimi

The second main is the signature Signature Kaisendon KRW 39K. Salmon roe + sea urchin + crab meatwith assorted sashimi piled into one bowl. The fish is fresh and the visual quality is obvious at a glance. Wrap the rice in nori, dip lightly in soy sauce — that is the way to enjoy it. Fresh sashimi + warm rice + nori + soy sauce— the harmony is exceptional. If you are looking for kaisendon in Yeouido, this is the bowl with no hesitation.

Special Menu — Ankimo & Konowata Sashimi

Obok Sushi Ankimo Konowata roe white-fish sashimi special menu

The third was the Ankimo & Konowata Sashimi. Roe · monkfish liver · white-fish sashimiwith a sea-squirt-based sauce — a dish that takes a completely different direction from regular sashimi — a polarizing special menu. Those who enjoy the briny side will find it rich, but it may feel intense for diners sensitive to fishy notes. A sip of Oyster Bay Sauv Blanc resets the palate so the next bite goes down easily. A dish where wine pairing is essential.
