What kind of place is Jangteo Jogaegui?

Wolmido is a small, island-like district in Jung-gu, Incheon, and it's famous for the way Wolmido Culture Streetis lined densely with grilled-clam and seafood restaurants. Jangteo Jogaegui sits right in the middle of that street — an all-you-can-eat grilled-clam spot where, true to its name, you can grill clams to your heart's content in a hall that feels like a giant marketplace.

Scallops, abalone, green mussels — all-you-can-eat grilled clams

The basic clam platter comes with a nice variety — scallops, mussels, green-lipped (New Zealand) mussels and abalone. Pile on mozzarella and cheddar, drizzle chili sauce and grill, and you get grilled clams with cheese stretching in long strings. Once a plate is empty you just refill and keep grilling, so there's no need to worry about running out — I ate my fill.

A spacious market-style hall — perfect for groups, families and couples

Step inside and you'll find a big hall strung with bulb lights and rows of large shared tables. The seats are spaced generously, so it was comfortable for family gatherings, group dinners and even couple dates. The half-outdoor seats even have fans, so you can cool off from the grilling heat and eat comfortably in summer.

A look at the menu lineup

At Jangteo Jogaegui, grilled clams take center stage, with several sides also served all-you-can-eat. Here's what I actually tried, organized in the table below.

Components Details
Grilled clam platter Scallops · mussels · green-lipped mussels · abalone (cheese & chili-sauce topping)
Butter shrimp (gambas) Shrimp cooked in butter-garlic oil in a foil dish
Cheese & cheese fondue Plenty of mozzarella and cheddar piled on the clams
Soft-serve ice cream Coney Island cookies-and-cream, served unlimited for dessert
Format All-you-can-eat grilled clams (seafood buffet style)
⚠️ Note — Prices, hours and closed days can change with the season and the shop's situation. Before you go, be sure to check the latest info on KakaoMap or Naver Map.
💡 Eating tip — Dip clam meat or rice cakes into the butter-garlic oil left from the shrimp and the flavor really comes alive. Add the cheese only after the clams are partly cooked so it stretches without burning.

My honest tasting notes

The clams were fresh, and the cheese-and-chili-sauce combo worked for just about everyone. The butter shrimp (gambas) was especially good for dipping bread or rice cakes, so I kept reaching for it between clams as a palate cleanser. That said, with the all-you-can-eat format your hands stay a bit busy grilling and clearing shells — so it suits people who enjoy a lively, hands-on grilling vibe more than those who just want to sit back.

To finish, there was soft-serve ice cream. After the salty, savory grilled clams, being able to eat sweet cookies-and-cream cones without limit left my palate feeling clean and refreshed.

💎 A subtle charm — Since the soft-serve is unlimited, being able to enjoy a sweet dessert even after filling up on clams was one of Jangteo Jogaegui's quiet little joys.
