Jamsil MapleStory Pop-up — Honest review of Henesys Mushroom Park, Bubble Shower, Seokchon Lake Orange Mushroom location dates

By Seoul Note

I heard the Jamsil MapleStory Pop-up was happening and went with friends. Nexon is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of MapleStory together with Lotte Group through ‘Maple Attack! with Lotte’ Jamsil pop-up. Lotte World Tower's World Park lawn plaza has fully transformed into Henesys town, and a giant orange mushroom art balloon has appeared on Dongho at Seokchon Lake. Even those who don't know the game can enjoy it as a Jamsil date course. Here's an honest review with location, dates, and things to do — all in one.

💡 Visit tips — You absolutely need to catch ‘Bubble Shower Time’ at the top of the hour at least once for the full vibe. Weekday afternoons were the quietest; weekends had long queues for Henesys Jump King and Stamp Rally goods pickup. Jamsil Station → Lawn Plaza → Jump King → Lotte World Mall Pink Carnival → Seokchon Lake Dongho was the cleanest route.

For the official location, on Naver Map ‘Lotte World Tower World Park’ comes up right away. World Park lawn plaza is the main stage, and crossing one traffic light from there takes you to the Seokchon Lake Dongho orange mushroom.

01. Henesys Mushroom Park — Jamsil Lawn Plaza turned entirely into the game

As soon as you exit Jamsil Station Exit 1, you can see the lawn plaza in front of Lotte World Tower. The most eye-catching space is Henesys Mushroom Park. As the name suggests, it's a zone where MapleStory's beginner town ‘Henesys’ has been brought into reality. From the moment I first saw it, ‘oh, this really is Maple…’ came out of my mouth on its own.

Lawn plaza overview — orange mushrooms, zombie mushrooms, and Maple friends are placed everywhere, making any spot a photo zone.

On the lawn, signature MapleStory monster sculptures like orange mushrooms, zombie mushrooms, and Pink Bean are lined up, and each one has a different expression, so looking around is plenty of fun. Blank looks, excited looks, even slightly sulky looks — many families come and take photos with each character.

Picnic concept photo zone

In the middle of the lawn, a giant checkered picnic mat is laid out, with an orange mushroom family sitting on it together with bread and fruit props. ‘Mushrooms on a picnic in Jamsil’ concept that's so cute my friend and I were laughing for a while. You can step right onto the mat to take photos, perfect for Instagram-worthy signature shots.

Next to the picnic zone, there's also a sculpture inspired by MapleStory's early custom default character. Beside it are MapleStory-iconic weapons like Magic Claw and Mannenseolgom MapleStory signature weapon propsare placed here so you can use them as props for photos. Beside it is the ‘Giant Zombie Mushroom’, much bigger than a normal orange mushroom. It reminded me of the days I used to spam Magic Claw, and I suddenly wanted to log back into MapleStory.

02. Bubble Shower Time — Lawn plaza turns into a fairytale every hour

The content you absolutely cannot miss at the Jamsil MapleStory Pop-up is Bubble Shower Time. It runs for about 10 minutes around Henesys Mushroom Park at the top of every hour. Soap bubbles fill the lawn plaza while MapleStory BGM plays — it really creates the atmosphere of having dropped into a town inside the game.

⚠️ Don't miss this — Bubble Shower only runs for 10 minutes on the hour. Since it becomes a photo spot, get into position 10 minutes early and set your phone camera to video mode in advance. Bubbles leave stains on the lens, so bringing a lens cloth is best.

If you're a fan, the moment the BGM kicks in real emotions come. The feeling of swinging Magic Claw at the Henesys hunting grounds is recreated right in the middle of Jamsil — I actually saw a 30-something next to me tearing up slightly.

03. Henesys Jump King · Stamp Rally — Game rewards turned into reality

Henesys Jump King (trampoline jump map)

The signature Jamsil things-to-do program Henesys Jump Kingis a mini-game where you experience a jump map on an actual trampoline. When you step on the trampoline and jump, your MapleStory character jumps along on the screen. MapleHands+ appWhen you use it, your character appears on screen, making reality and the game feel genuinely connected.

Just by participating, you can get Orange Mushroom Popcornas a souvenir, and through record events you can also aim for prizes like Nexon Cash or gaming mice. The concept of the in-game ‘jump map clear reward’ crossing over into real-world prizes makes this a must-try corner for MapleStory users.

Stamp Rally — Find Pink Bean across Jamsil mission

One of the core missions of the Jamsil MapleStory Pop-up is Stamp Rally. You go around partner stores in Jamsil like Lotte World Mall pop-up stores, Lotte Cinema, Uniqlo, 7-Eleven looking for hidden Pink Beanevent of finding them. Even one collected gets you an orange balloon, and collecting them all earns the ‘Maple Attack Stamp Rally Box’ you can receive the coupon.

💎 Recommended Stamp Rally course route — Jamsil Station Exit 1 → World Park Lawn Plaza → Lotte World Mall 1F Pink Carnival Pop-up Store → Lotte Cinema → Uniqlo → 7-Eleven → Seokchon Lake Dongho Orange Mushroom. The whole circuit takes about an hour and a half, and those who collect them all just pick up the coupon at the end.

Pink Carnival Pop-up Store (Lotte World Mall 1F)

In the Atrium on the 1st floor of Lotte World Mall, there's also ‘Pink Carnival’ pop-up storeis also operating. From MapleStory limited-edition goods, Uniqlo UTme! custom event, to collaboration product lineups — a wide variety. MapleStory IP goods are so rare that you can find designs you can't normally get, and at the UTme! corner you can even print your own character illustration directly onto a T-shirt.

04. Seokchon Lake Orange Mushroom — Essential photo spot on Dongho walking course

Another core piece of the MapleStory pop-up is Seokchon Lake Orange Mushroom art balloon. A giant orange mushroom is floating right in the middle of Seokchon Lake's Dongho. A cute photo zone by day, with lights on at night so a two-faced spot whose atmosphere changes completely. A perfect stop on a Jamsil date course.

Not only orange mushrooms but also slime-shaped art balloons are floating together. Each slime has a different expression, so it's fun to check them up close. I also recommend going around the lake and seeing them from the front, side, and back — they look round and cute from any angle.

💡 Seokchon Lake photo tips — Weekday mornings were the quietest, and shooting wide from the east-side walking path captures Lotte World Tower + the orange mushroom in one frame. After 7 PM the lights come on and the photo tone turns warm.

05. Honest review after visiting in person

In one line, ‘If you're a MapleStory fan, absolutely — and even if not, more than enough as Jamsil things to do.’. Display, experience, goods, and missions don't operate separately — they tie the whole Jamsil area into a single route, keeping the flow clean. Going Lawn Plaza → Jump King → Lotte World Mall Pink Carnival → Seokchon Lake Orange Mushroom took about two and a half hours.

What I liked is ‘free + free’is the abundance. Mushroom Park entry, Bubble Shower, taking photos, Seokchon Lake orange mushroom — all free. Henesys Jump King and Stamp Rally also offer free participation + souvenirs, so I could enjoy the full set without burden. The downside is the weekend wait time for Jump King was a bit long. Strongly recommend weekday visits, and if you download the MapleHands+ app beforehand and finish character linking, you won't waste time at Jump King.
